Gobi has nothing, and Gobi is everything.
So much in the world is going on that we might lose connections with bodies and souls.
As a regular meditator and vegetarian, I am no different. I get distracted by the conventional matters, my mind and soul signal me at all times, “hey dear, it’s time to get nourished.” Gobi desert is a miracle. It has nothing, but actually it is everything.
It unveils all kinds of possibilities through the every single step of the 108km walk. Each step is the beauty of human beings, the power of Mother Earth, universe and energy, the amazing souls, the strong connections.

In the Gobi Desert, there seems to be nothing, yet everything exists!
In October 2023, I embarked on a trek across the Gobi Desert with a group of like-minded friends. This journey was not just about oneself; it was about the connection to the heavens, the earth, and all living beings. Over four days and three nights, the link with nature deepened, fostering a greater love for this land and a more steadfast commitment to promoting a vegetarian lifestyle. The gains extended beyond personal growth and breakthroughs; they led to profound realizations about teamwork, leadership, family bonds, and friendships. Four days passed too quickly, and 108 kilometers felt too short, but the harvest was truly abundant!
Trekking the Gobi became the most unique, unforgettable, and inspiring journey of my life, marking the beginning of another chapter!
Upon returning from the Gobi, spurred on by the initiatives of my teammates Elice and Chris, we collectively founded Wholesome - a platform dedicated to holistic well-being. We aim to provide enriching spiritual experiences for everyone, sharing the inspirations we gain from each journey, and helping others discover their own Wholesome selves!"

The most important thing in life is to be bold in trying new things
For those with a foundation in physical fitness, trekking 108 kilometers is challenging but not beyond reach. For me, the real challenge lies in "going vegetarian" for the entire journey.
I have always been resistant to eating vegetables from a young age. When I came across this trekking event, I felt excited but also a bit worried about whether I could actually do it (eating only vegetarian).
As the days passed during the 4-day trek, it surprisingly wasn't as difficult as I had imagined. Instead, it felt a bit "lighter" and less "burdensome." Additionally, my digestive system seemed to have significantly improved. Most importantly, I discovered that vegetarian food can be delicious and diverse.
Throughout the vegetarian journey in the Gobi, besides the physical challenges, there were numerous internal dialogues with myself. It allowed me to delve deeper into self-discovery. I am grateful for every team member who appeared during the process, showing me the power of unity and the importance of mutual support.
Wholesome has enabled me to become a better version of myself, connecting with nature, with others, and with myself."
